Nowshin Sayera

Research Associate- DataSense

Nowshin Sayera is a dedicated researcher with a focus on gender, climate change, social protection, and development, applying feminist and intersectional perspectives to her work. She has served as a Research Assistant at Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) for the study on the inclusion of indigenous communities in social protection programs and as a Research Associate at the Center for Men and Masculinities Studies (CMMS). In 2023, she contributed to a UNDP study on climate migrants in urban informal settlements through her role as a research assistant at DataSense and Infolady Social Enterprise Limited. In 2024 –2025, Nowshin has worked with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) as a student researcher as part of her coursework. Her research focused on the Right to Development and Bangladesh’s upcoming LDC graduation, with particular emphasis on the intersections of international trade and development.

Nowshin completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Women and Gender Studies from the University of Dhaka and is currently pursuing a Master’s in International and Development Studies at the Geneva Graduate Institute. At DataSense, she is contributing to developing research tools, analyzing qualitative data, and preparing reports aimed at influencing policy and practice.
