Senior Research Associate

Dr. Tauhida is a passionate and dedicated researcher who received her PhD on Workplace Gender-based Violence and Work Performance in Bangladesh’s Ready-made Garment Industries: Links, Consequences, and Redress Measures. Through her research journey, she acquired in-depth knowledge of labor economics, industrial relations, and human resource management. After completing her PhD, Dr. Tauhida worked as a freelance researcher. She served as a research assistant at BILS on the Complaint Committee in Bangladesh’s RMG Industries: Best Practices and Lessons for Addressing GBV. She also worked as a research associate at the Awaj Foundation on the Status of New Minimum Wage Implementation for Workers in the RMG Sector. Her research interests are: gender-based violence, decent work, child labor, forced labor, social dialogue, minimum wage, gender wage gap, labor laws, and International Labour Standards.

At DataSense, she is contributing to research design, data analysis (both qualitative & quantitative), report writing, and aims to influence policies and practices. Dr. Tauhida believes that iSocial provides her a platform to grow and develop well in the labor economy field.
