Institutionalized as an independent venture for scaling-up Infolady model in Bangladesh
Dnet, a not-for-profit Social Enterprise, launched the Infolady model back in 2004 to test and shape the modern women social entrepreneur model. The first iteration was comprised of ‘rural information centers’, outposts containing a computer with preloaded content on agriculture, health, and legal aid. In 2010 Dnet developed a business model that would bring last-mile connectivity to rural Bangladeshi women, as well as empower Bangladeshi women to become entrepreneurs, challenging traditional gender roles. This model was called ‘Infolady’. Later in 2016, Dnet launched a for profit social enterprise iSocial (Infolady Social Enterprise Limited) to run the Infolady model as a social enterprise.
We believe that the evolution we envision in terms of reaching our mission and complying with our vision cannot be achieved single handedly by serving a particular group of people. Thus, we have divided our target group into B2B and B2C where we are dedicated to serve consumers as women, children, and adolescent as well as government ad non-government agencies. We know that the diverse gains will not be sustainable unless we focus on all the aspects that can directly or indirectly have an impact on the society.
In case of B2B we work for Government, Development Agencies and Corporates, private sector companies and service providers as well as various corporate and not-for-profit agencies, marginalized citizens.
We extract dynamic and reliable individual and household level data analytics from rural landscapes as valued data intelligence service. Also, we offer Activation at the last mile to promote product and services as well as delivery of different services and benefits.
In case of B2C, we serve the rural households especially, women, children and adolescents, under a digitally enabled platform with Consumer products and services while working as an end-mile supply chain linkage.
The motto is to bring wellbeing to the community and provide products and services of the wide range of areas including mental health, sexual and reproductive health, nutrition, agriculture and farming and opportunity connectivity to the rural households
Empowering women and changing social barriers and stigma by creating women entrepreneurs.
Digitally connecting 492 rural upazillas in Bangladesh and also benefiting from partners outreach.
Providing healthcare services & increase awareness of millions of women with limited access to information, technology & quality products.
